The festival which I recommend you is the Festival of Pilar. It is held in Zaragoza in Spain. I am interested in Spain, because I am studying Spanish as second language in NUFS. I recommend since I have such reason.
The Festival of Pilar is held in before and after a week of 12th October every year. Do you know the festival? It is the biggest festival of hold in Zaragoza. The name “Pilar” means “pillar” in Spanish and come from the legend. The legend is the Blesses Mary appeared at pillar in front of St James who mission in there. The miracle is commemorated and the big shrine and the figure of the Blesses Pilar build. Then, the figure is worship in not only Zaragoza but all over Spain.
In the festival, a lot of events are held. The most famous event of these is “The ceremony of Offer flowers to the Blesses Pilar” which is held in 12th October. Large people give to the figure which is niched in the Pilar square. There are also “the Religion Procession of Glass”, “Giant” and “Top-heavy” which popular among a lot of children. The festival has another events expect these traditional main event. For example, Fireworks, Concert of classic and so on. The most popular among people of these events is folk dance “Jota” which children dance. The competition of Jota also is held. It is very cute and fantastic. Zaragona become full of people who wear folk costume. These costumes are really vivid. I read a lot of web sites and I want to go the festival someday. How about you?
